Our trails are open daily from dawn to dusk.  We have three main trails, the Forest Trail (blazed yellow) which is about 1/2 mile long and loops around the Samuel P. Pardoe Building through the woods; the Pond Loop Trail (blazed blue) which is about 1 mile long and follows the perimeter of the property to our wooded pond; and the Sugar Trail (blazed red) which goes through our sugar bush area to the Sugarhouse.  We also have a new connector trail (blazed orange) that goes from the SPP Building southwest to the Pond Loop Trail.  In the summer, we mow a walking path around the “Lower Fox Field” (between the SPP Building and the gardens) and around the big field across White Oaks Road from the farmhouse.

Please respect the following rules when using our trails:

  • No littering, please carry in-carry out
  • No dogs (their scent deters the wildlife)
  • No camping or campfires
  • No motorized vehicles
  • No hunting
  • Please wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for being in the woods.

You can pick up a trail map in the green mailbox at the corner of the Samuel P. Pardoe Building, refer to the big map in the kiosk in the visitor parking area, or to download a PDF Trail Map, click HERE (updated June 2016)

We have a geocache/letterbox on the the property.  For more information on finding it, please visit the official Geocaching Website.
