2024 Summer Dates and Themes

Week 1 June 24 – 28 Outdoor Living Skills: Start the summer by learning valuable outdoor skills: learn to build and cook over a fire, navigate through the woods, or maybe build a structure using knots and lashings.
Week 2 July 1 – 3 (3 days week, No camp on Thursday or Friday) Water, Water Everywhere: Everything needs water to survive! Join us for a week of exploring the many roles of water as we explore aquatic ecosystems and get wet playing water games.
+ Week 3 July 8 – 12 Creature Features: From paws to feathers, scales and claws, get ready for a week of all things animals. Discover how different animals talk, eat, move and play as we explore Prescott Farm’s ponds, forest and fields to investigate what the animals are doing.
+ Week 4 July 15 – 19 STEAM Team: Science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics is our camp focus for the week! Come explore the way nature inspires human art, invention, sustainable energy, and design. Get ready to think, build, and test your critical thinking skills!
+ Week 5 July 22 – 26 Farm and Garden Adventures: Meet some visiting farm animals and enjoy our gardens. Prepare tasty snacks from garden-harvested goodies. Learn to cook with eggs from our hens and harvest honey from our beehives.
+ Week 6 July 29 – August 2 Survival: What would it take to find food, water, and shelter in the woods? Try cooking over a fire, building shelters, and finding your way as you learn wilderness skills that will help you stay out of survival mode and focus on the fun.
+ Week 7 August 5 – 9 Kids Can Cook: By August our gardens are bursting with fruits and veggies ready to be harvested and cooked into delicious treats! Join us for a week of culinary exploration and experimentation as we learn to prepare wholesome, healthy food from the garden to our plates inside and out. The week culminates with a made from scratch pizza party!
Week 8 August 12-16 Eco Artists: Nature in itself is a work of art. For this week, campers should be ready to paint, move, sculpt, sketch, and explore. We will learn how the beauty of nature inspires naturalists and how it helps promote environmental stewardship today.
Week 9 August 19-23 A Little Bit of Everything: Finding it difficult to decide which theme sounds like the most fun? Then, this week is for you! We’ll be mixing it up with a little bit of all the themes as we revisit our favorite camp activities. You may find us ponding, hiking, cooking, crafting, tracking, fort building, and playing games.
Camp Activities
Morning activities take place within age groups (12 campers) so that activities are age-appropriate and are based on the theme of the week. Activities during this time block change each week giving something new even for the campers who are attending multiple sessions and returning from past summers.
Club Time is where campers choose the activity from 3-4 options. Club time options change each day but may include an active game, crafts, nature hikes, and cooking. Ages are mixed during this time block. Club time activities may or may not follow the theme of the week and will change each day.
Woods Time takes place every day and with all of camp together. Woods time takes place in a special place in the woods, giving campers the opportunity for free play using only natural materials. Following safety rules, campers will often build stick forts, make believe, and look for salamanders.
All Camp Activities will take place every week and are a highlight of the week! All camp activities include Hungry Forest, Quest Day, hay rides, and an end-of-week campfire to celebrate the week.
Camp Age Group Progression
Please note, campers must have reached the age indicated for each camp level on or prior to the first day of camp week.
Ages 5 & 6: Pines– Pines are introduced to camp life through games, storytelling, and plenty of exploration. Pines Instructors focus on supporting the campers’ natural curiosity, making new friends, and building independence within the wider camp community.
Ages 7-9: Maples- Campers in the Maples groups will be immersed in the week’s theme through engaging activities, challenges, and games. Interacting with the other groups during all camp and mixed activities, the Maples’ activity times will be age-appropriate for their growing curiosity of what can be found in natural spaces around them.
Ages 10 & 12: Oaks- Take your camper experience to the next level as a mighty Oak! The Oaks’ activities will be centered around the week’s theme but with greater depth and independence as they begin to learn how to be role models for the Pine and Maple campers.
Ages 13 & 14: LITs- Leaders-in-Training *offered limited weeks* LITs are guided to examine their personal leadership style and given greater independence within the supportive camp community. Through exciting team building challenges and projects, LITs have the opportunity to practice leadership skills like communication and teamwork, receive feedback from mentors and peers, and have fun!
Ages 15 & 16: Junior Counselors JCs work alongside our Instructors to lead the youth throughout their daily routine. Gain job skills, build confidence through independence while returning to camp in this volunteer capacity. Application required. Minimum commitment of 2 consecutive weeks.

Extended Care

Summer session 2 (3 day week) is prorated at $27 for each extended care option.
Other Payment & Paperwork Information
- $100 non-refundable deposit (per session and per child) require to reserve each space. Families applying for a scholarship may request a reduced deposit by contacting the Camp Director at camp@prescottfarm.org or calling (603) 366-5695.
- Remaining balance and health forms are due May 31, 2024
- Per NH State camp licensing rules, all campers are required to submit proof of a physical examination that was completed within 2 years prior to start of each camp session as well as documentation of immunizations (same vaccines required for NH schools), unless appropriate proof of an exemption is provided.
Financial Assistance
Scholarships are available for income-eligible families thanks to the genericity of various community organizations and individuals. Scholarship applications are part of the registration process.
