Delicious and nutritious, mushrooms are a culinary treat. Learn how to grow shiitake and wine cap mushrooms at home. Participants will home with a fully inoculated log and sawdust inoculated with winecaps so you can enjoy your own freshly harvested mushrooms as early as later this year!

Learn to bake your own from scratch using a sourdough starter! We'll discuss how to start and keep a sourdough culture alive and use it to make breads and many other baked goodies, including a loaf of bread to finish at home and  biscuits that use the sourdough discard to enjoy at the end of the class. You will also go home with some sourdough starter to continue your sourdough baking journey.   Participants should bring a bag lunch for this 4 hour class, a container to transport their unbaked sourdough, and a small jar for their starter.

Roll up your sleeves and become a pizza chef! Students learn how to make pizza dough, prepare fresh toppings, make tomato sauce, create cheese from milk, and bake their own personal pizzas. Through hands-on cooking, children practice measuring, mixing, kneading, and assembling while enjoying the fun of creating a meal from scratch.  

Recommended Ages: 6-14*

Cost: $25 per child. No charge for accompanying adult.

Join Professional Baker and Pastry Instructor Chef Allen to create a perfect and realistic edible cupcake flower arrangement. After mastering the technique for making the perfect buttercream frosting, participants will practice various piping techniques for realistic-looking flowers, including dahlias, hydrangeas, roses, daisies, sunflowers, and more. Participants will leave the program with their decorated cupcakes as well as the skills to confidently make more cupcake bouquets at home.
