Thinking Outside of the Box: Hands-On Learning Beyond the Classroom’s Four Walls
Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center is excited to work with you to give your students an unforgettable experience in the natural world. Our 160-acre property provides the setting for year-round environmental education programs and includes woodland and field trails, a “green” building with geothermal and solar energy systems, restored historic barns, an old-fashioned maple sugaring operation, heritage gardens, and a forested pond.
Field Trips (Schools, Homeschool Groups, Youth Organizations, Community Centers, Child Care Centers, and other groups)
Prescott Farm is an excellent place to get your group outdoors and learning in nature! Children learn better by doing, and our experienced environmental educators are eager to lead hands-on activities to get them engaged. Choose from any of our amazing prepared curriculum programs or let us help you design something special for your group. You get the group together, we do the program!
For school groups, we have designed our field trip programs to supplement your curriculum. Our programs are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and NH Social Studies Frameworks. We believe that our programs are a quality experience that will enhance and reinforce information that you are already working on in your classroom.
Naturalist in the Classroom
Our Naturalist in the Classroom program supports teachers in local schools to provide place-based, hands-on lessons that incorporate the natural world to satisfy curriculum requirements and help keep children engaged and excited about learning throughout the school year.
Programs are not limited to those listed here, we can work with you to design a program that meets your needs. Please call us anytime with questions—we hope to see you very soon!
