What’s more fun than playing with your friends in nature? Playing with friends AND your favorite grown-up! Polliwogs is a fun group for the littlest explorers among us! Join us for music, art and exploring in nature. Polliwogs meets Wednesdays from 10 – 11:30 a.m.

All Programs Wednesdays from 10-11:30am
Ages: Pre-K with adult | younger siblings can attend | any child 2+ needs to be registered
Cost: $15 per pair adult/child pair
Physical Demand: [2] = Activity includes up to 1/2 mile of walking on uneven terrain; no steep slopes.

May 6th 2026: Wetland Wonders
The edges of water and land are full of tiny surprises! From little critters to interesting plants and textures underfoot, there’s always something new to discover. Stories, songs, and movement add extra magic to these hands-on wetland adventures.
May 13th 2026: Fairy Forest Builders
Step into a magical woodland and let your imagination run wild. Families work together to build tiny fairy homes from sticks, moss, and stones, discovering colors, textures, and creative possibilities. Stories, songs, and playful activities make the forest feel even more enchanting.
May 20th 2026: Rocky Ridge Explorers (Rock Islands)
Climb, balance, and explore the rocky islands of Prescott Farm. Each rock offers new perspectives and little discoveries waiting to be found. Stories, music, and playful activities bring the rocky landscape to life for adventurous kids.
May 27th 2026: Forest Floor Explorers
Step into the quiet world right beneath the trees, where leaves, logs, and stones hide little surprises waiting to be discovered. Tiny creatures, soft moss, and interesting textures make every step an adventure. Stories, songs, and movement bring the forest floor to life for curious little explorers.
June 3rd 2026: Meadow Mini Explorers
Open fields full of color and life are waiting to be explored! Watch the grasses sway, notice pollinators buzzing, and see what small wonders hide in the flowers. Stories, music, and playful movement make the meadow even more magical.

July 1st 2026: Barefoot & Wild – A Sensory Adventure
Step into summer through sensory exploration, with moments of barefoot discovery, movement, and nature art using all of our senses, including mud, water, and natural textures. Through this experience: Children build early brain connections, body awareness, and confidence in natural environments through full-body sensory exploration, movement, and hands-on nature.
Primary Learning Domain: Gross Motor
July 8th 2026: Wild Makers – Little Explorers Hike & Nature Creations
Little Explorers hike through the woods, gathering natural treasures from the forest floor, then become Wild Makers as they design, build, and create with what they find. Through this experience: Children develop observation skills, early problem-solving, and creativity as they collect, sort, and transform natural materials into open-ended nature creations.

July 15th 2026: Into The Wild Outdoor Kitchen – Foraged Tea Making
We explore the land to gently gather herbs and flowers, then create sensory tea-inspired water experiences in our Outdoor Forest-Made Kitchen and make simple tea to taste and drink together. Through this experience: Children connect to seasonal rhythms and natural curiosity while strengthening sensory awareness through hands-on interaction with nature.

July 22nd 2026: Little Movers – Nature Obstacle Adventure
Children climb, step, balance, and move through a simple nature-based obstacle path using logs, stones, and terrain. Through this experience: Children build coordination, confidence, and gross motor strength through natural movement challenges. Primary Learning Domain: Gross Motor
August 5th 2026: Garden to Tummies – Salsa Making Day
From garden to table! Children harvest fresh tomatoes, then safely chop herbs, peppers, and other garden vegetables to create their own fresh salsa to take home. Through this experience: Children build independence, fine motor skills, and understanding of where food comes from through real harvesting and food preparation.
Primary Learning Domain: Fine Motor
August 12th 2026: Garden Party Picnic – Charcuterie Style
From garden to table! Children harvest fresh tomatoes, then safely chop herbs, peppers, and other garden vegetables to create their own fresh salsa to take home. Through this experience: Children build independence, fine motor skills, and understanding of where food comes from through real harvesting and food preparation.
